Chris Burton is a practicing Kinesiologist and new-comer to SunCity Physiotherapy.
Chris was born in Toronto, Ontario, but spent his later childhood and teenage years in Alberta where he got his degree in Kinesiology from the University of Calgary in 2003. Later that year he moved to the Okanagan where he began to practice as a Kinesiologist. He began his kinesiology career working in the field of rehabilitation, but he has also worked as a Personal Trainer in Kelowna, Calgary, and Toronto areas . Chris is passionate about what he does professionally and has furthered his knowledge and skill set to improve his ability to assist his clientele through continuing education and in particular through training with the CHEK institute, where he learned an integrative approach of biomechanical assessment, exercise prescription, and nutrition and lifestyle coaching.
Chris grew up playing many sports but in particular competitive Basketball. He later took to weight lifting and running, as methods of achieving physical fitness and health; he currently is passionate about hiking, martial arts, good food, and enjoying life in multiple other ways. Julianne graduated with her Master’s in Physiotherapy degree from UBC in 2022. Prior to this, Julianne completed her Bachelor of Human Kinetics degree at UBC-Okanagan. Julianne has furthered her education by completing levels one and two of orthopaedic manual therapy certifications from the Canadian Physiotherapy Association.
Julianne was born and raised in Kelowna! She grew up playing a number of sports, but fell in love and dedicated a lot of her time to figure skating. She competed nationally and internationally in many different places around the world. She continues to share her passion for the sport by coaching skaters of all ages and abilities at the Kelowna Skating Club.
She is passionate about working with her clients to improve their quality of movement by promoting recovery and allowing for optimal performance during activity and daily life. In order to provide the best care, Julianne uses an evidence informed approach to provide a holistic treatment including manual therapy, exercise prescription, and interprofessional communication. She will always bring a positive attitude to the clinic and will actively listen to all of her clients’ concerns. She has a keen interest in treating clients with orthopaedic conditions, osteoarthritis, and post operatively.

Richard is a Registered Massage Therapist and graduate of the Vancouver School of Massage Therapy. As a lifting and gym enthusiast, Richard has always been amazed at the body’s ability to compensate, adapt, and heal in the face of dysfunction, illness, injury, and stress. He brings a level of understanding, compassion, and empathy to his practice that can only be attributed to his many personal experiences with acute and chronic injuries. His intuitive treatment style incorporates deep tissue work, myofascial techniques, joint mobilizations, trigger point release, therapist-assisted stretching, and traditional Swedish massage; all in an effort to facilitate change in pain-affected patients. Delaney Twerdohlib graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor’s degree in Human Kinetics, specializing in both Health Behaviour Change and Clinical Exercise Physiology. Her dual expertise in the physical and psychological aspects of health allows her to provide comprehensive, holistic care to her clients.
Delaney is passionate about helping individuals achieve their personal health goals, whether that involves post-MVA recovery, post-surgery rehabilitation, enhancing sports performance, or supporting aging adults in improving their health and functional fitness. Utilizing evidence-based techniques, Delaney assesses each client’s movement patterns and identifies the underlying causes to develop tailored corrective strategies and exercise plans. Her goal is to improve functional movement and overall well-being.

Madison Wood is a Registered Dietitian dedicated to providing compassionate, individualized nutrition care for the past 8 years.
She completed her studies at Western University in London, Ontario followed by post-graduate studies at the Northern Ontario School of Medicine to become a Registered Dietitian.
Madison is here to support you in optimizing your health and meeting any nutrition goals you have. On a more personal note, Madison is passionate about global health equity, and has most recently volunteered in Mombasa, Kenya with International Medical Aid. She has also been a UBC Dietetics program interviewer for the past three years for their undergraduate and masters programs. She is currently on the UBC Dietetics Curriculum Advisory Committee for a two-year cycle.
